Winter is getting closer and the air definitely has an autumn feel to it. It is about high time that I start getting ready for the colder seasons.
Today I started on some warm, black socks, or they are black so far. Who knows what kind of colors I will include later on (I love knitting without a strict pattern).
Here is a picture of how much I have knitted on the socks. The little blue spot on the socks is some leftover yarn I found on the floor. True recycling in practice ![]()

I love seeing your knitting
I’ve gotten into socks as well and can’t wait to get more pairs completed. One day I hope to not wear any more commercial socks, though I won’t throw them away, I will reuse them all or donate them.

Awesome. I heart funky socks. I actually only learned knitting so’s I can make my very own funky socks and am making slow progress with the first one ever.
I dig that Granny Square on which the photographed sock lays, too.

Thanks Jadielady and tata
Jadie: How do you knit socks that you use during the summer? Socks like these are way to warm when it is summer.
I would too love to stop buying commercial socks and knit my own.
tata: Good luck on your socks!
